Transfer Paintings   All works seen below were created utilizing processes not unlike those that constitute the pictorial conventions of Rorschach tests or monotypes. The paintings took form through multiple cycles of gestural mark making and transferring, wherein one or more pairs of panels are pressed together forcing the paint to physically transfer, spread and mix while out of vision. The resultant sets of mirror images are embedded in a seamless but veined skin of paint, full of symmetrical peaks and valleys. All of the paintings seen below were done alla prima - in one extended session.
